Aspirin-d3 is a deuterium-labeled version of Aspirin (Acetylsalicylic acid). Aspirin is an orally active, potent, and irreversible inhibitor of cyclooxygenase COX-1 and COX-2, with IC50 values of 5 and 210 μg/mL, respectively. It is known to induce apoptosis, inhibit the activation of NF-κB, and prevent coronary artery and cerebrovascular thrombosis by inhibiting platelet prostaglandin synthetase. Deuterium labeling, as seen in Aspirin-d3, is a technique used in drug development, largely as tracers for quantitation, and can influence the pharmacokinetic and metabolic profiles of drugs. This product is intended for research use only.
